Warcry Interactive's Only Lead Can Stop Them is a retro first-person shooter that takes place during the Spanish Civil War.

I joined Warcry Interactive as a UX Designer to conduct playtests to get feedback from players that played games with different genres and on a regular basis.

Vertical Aiming
In original retro FPS games, having vertical aiming as a feature was rare. With Only Lead Can Stop Them inspired from classic 90s shooter games it did not have vertical aiming in earlier builds. Throughout the playtests players who engaged with modern first-person-shooters struggled to get into the controls of our game which in the end motivated the team at Warcry Interactive to add vertical aiming as a setting that can be toggled on or off.

For the second half of my time with Warcry Interactive, my focus shifted from UX Design to QA Testing.

Manual Testing
I was responsible in testing the game with a focus on finding bugs, UX issues and giving feedback about the enjoyment of the game mechanics.
